Max Dee McKoon, 69, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away June 3, 2024. He was born on November 24, 1954 in Kokomo, IN the son of Carl Durfee and Emma J. (Troyer) McKoon. He retired from Chrysler in 2004 and also proudly served his country in the Air Force Reserves as a Jet Engine Mechanic. He was a 1973 graduate of Haworth High School and received and Associates Degree from Indiana University of Kokomo. He was an avid music lover, enjoyed painting and the Arts. He also enjoyed bicycle riding around town. He was known by many for his Karaoke singing and socializing at various taverns.
Max is survived by daughter, Andrea McKoon; daughter Kasey McKoon Catt and husband, Jeffrey; siblings, Nancy (Jim) Guthrie, Carlene Nearon; grandchildren, Dylan McKoon, Brooklyn Adams, Aidyn McKoon, Oliver Anderson; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David McKoon, Carl McKoon, Buck McKoon, Cecil McKoon.
Visitation will take place from 11:00 - 1:00 Friday, June 7, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Friday, June 7, 2024 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
