

Michael Joseph Dane, 41, of Bell Buckle, TN and formerly of Kokomo passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2015, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was born on August 2, 1974 in Kokomo the son of Michael Dane and Marilyn (Kwapich) Johnson. He was such a loving husband and father to his surviving wife, Wendy (Hunter) Dane and son Gage Michael Dane. He was employed with Corsicana Bedding in Shelbyville, TN. He loved his work and his colleagues. He enjoyed spending his time out on the lake or by the pool. He loved being with his family and friends. Mike was an honest, loving, and gentle man. He had a way about him that made everyone feel like they were the most important person in the world. His smile could light up the room, and his laughter was contagious. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was everything that was good in the world. Anyone who knew and loved Mike is so blessed to have had him in his or her life. He will be missed more than words can express.
Mike is survived by his wife, Wendy Dane; son, Gage Dane; father, Michael Dane; mother, Marilyn Johnson; sister, Ellie Dane; grandpa, Bill Dane; Uncle, Joe (Mary Beth) Kwapich; Aunts, Barbara Beck, Gigi (Jeff) Shook, Gina (Matt) Leach, Gail (Mark) Miller, mother and father-in-law, Geneva and Randy Hunter; brother-in-law Randall (wife Julie) Hunter; nephews, Nash Hunter, Ishmael Dane, Roger Cline; niece Berkley Hunter; cousins, Ericka Beck, Julie (David) Papineau, Cathy Shook, Megan and Molly Leach, Evan and Erin Miller; and so many loved and treasured friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gabriel Dane; grandmothers, Sue Dane & Mary Kwapich; and grandfather John Kwapich.
A funeral service to celebrate Mike’s life will be held at 3PM on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am to 3pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
