Michael Allen Rubow, 67, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:54 PM Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Community Howard Regional Health. Born October 16, 1949 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Martin Rubow and Betty (Juvinal) Rubow-Ellis. He was employed at Chrysler for 20 years, retiring in 1995. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan as it was one of the highlights of his life when they won the World Series. He was a very loving father and his son Matt was his special angel.
Survivors include his son Matthew B. Rubow of Kokomo; one brother Bob Ellis of Kokomo; two sisters, Pam (Steve) Wheeler of Kokomo and Nancy Lamb and Glen Gamblin of Kokomo; two nephews Mitch Wheeler and Jeff Lamb, both of Kokomo; one niece Ashleigh Lamb of Kokomo; and Georgia D. Dyer (Matthew’s mother) of Kokomo. There are also several great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will take place at a later date. Michael’s wish was to be cremated. The family requests no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to a memorial fund for Matthew B. Rubow, in memory of his father Michael Allen Rubow at any Kokomo BMO Harris Bank location.
