She was the eldest of 5 children, taking on the responsibility early of taking care of them after school so her parents could work and provide for the family.
Upon graduation from high school in Altus, AR in 1952, that summer she moved to Kokomo to live with a cousin. At the Crescent Dairy is where she met her future husband. After marrying they moved to Kansas where she gave birth to twin daughters Connie Lundberg of Kokomo and Karen Radar of Bolivia on Missionary Services.
Hearing Chrysler was hiring they moved back to Kokomo.
Mildred worked a variety of jobs over the years, her favorite was being a teacher's assistant at Elwood Hayne Elementary School. Upon retiring, MIldred and her husband Harold, who still survives managed a guest house in Santa Cruz, Bolivia for World Gospel Mission for two years. It was a time of service and adventure for both of them.
She had to leave Bolivia because of heart trouble.
Services for Mildred will be announced at a later date.
