

Mildred L. Moffatt, 73, Kokomo, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at St. Vincent Heart Hospital in Indianapolis. Mildred was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Peru, to Percy and Mary Snowden. She graduated from Peru High School and was a homemaker. Mildred married Wayne Moffatt Feb. 4, 1962, in Peru, and he preceded her in death. She then married Charles Moffatt 1996, and he survives.
She was a member of Vardaman Street Baptist Church in Wiggins, Mississippi; Women Mission Auxiliary with the BMA of Mississippi; attended First Church of the Nazarene in Kokomo, where she was an active member of the choir; loved flowers, playing piano and singing.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; sons, James ”Jim” Moffatt, Magee, Mississippi, and Timothy “Tim” Moffatt, Houston, Texas; stepson, Joseph (Darlene) Moffatt, Rochester; granddaughter, Meagan Moffatt, Richland, Mississippi; sister, Lois Pierce, Austin, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road. Funeral services will be Tuesday in Wiggins, Mississippi, with burial to follow at Wiggins City Cemetery.
