Aunt Nancy, you were truly one of the most kindest  people that I know. Always loving, caring and concerned for others less fortunate. 
We are sure going to miss you, and your laughter. 
I always loved it when the sisters were together-talking about the old days and the things they had done. Although I suspect, they didn’t tell us “everything “.  There was so much laughter, you could hear them all through the house. I’m very thankful for all those memories. 
Today I must say good-bye to Aunt Nancy—it’s not going to be easy for any of us, this I know. But, I also know it isn’t good- bye forever-we will see her again. One time we were talking about how we would recognize one another in heaven—I told her that we would know her because she would have the shiniest/ cleanest home in heaven. She just giggled. 
So, I ask all of you, when thinking of Aunt Nancy, to remember that wonderful smile and laugh, her generous/ kind heart, and how much she loved all of us, as we love her. It has been a joy to have you in our lives, and until we meet again, may you rest in peace.

Aunt Nancy & Uncle Dick were forever the gold standard of kindness, generosity and the example of how to treat one another in our family. Together they were the rock that kept us all grounded, provided stability and normalcy where so many others failed. It’s difficult to imagine our lives without their comforting natural leadership, but we should all take the lessons learned and try to apply them with the same unbiased kindness and generosity that they did for us. I love you both deeply, thank you from the bottom of my heart for just being you.

As you sit on your cloud, Nancy, and look down on earth, may you send and share your gifts of laughter and love with all of us as you are missed.

I will miss the most your “Oh, Julia!” I remember when I told you I let a young Dusty drive my car. “Oh, Julia!” Then you slapped your knee and started laughing. Driving a stick shift was not easy.

The last time we talked was when I called to give you info about Mable’s funeral. You exclaimed, “Oh, Julia!” so many times that I lost count.

Your love was evident through both your actions and words. 
I always knew how much you love my mother. I could see it. 
I knew how much you loved Dusty. I heard it in your voice.
With Dick, it was a combination of words and actions.
Then there’s Heidi. I felt your love for her.

I give gratitude for you and your life. I thank you for raising a wonderful daughter who I call friend.

One more thing…please put a good word into God for me. 
“Oh, Julia!”


Here’s a picture of Nancy I took at her 80th birthday party last year. Her party was Lone Ranger themed and anybody could tell just by looking at the photo that she was having a great time; just look at that smile! I think I speak for not only myself, but for many of her loved ones as well, when I say that she will be remembered for her light spirit and sense of humor. It was always a good time full of laughs and smiles whenever Aunt Nancy was in the room. We all love and miss her very much. Rest In Peace, Aunt Nancy ❤️

Dear Heidi and Dick,

I am so sorry to hear about my dear friend, Nancy. I think I met Nancy in junior high or high school. We laughed and laughed and laughed. It was so much fun to hang out with our other friend, Mable in high school. All three of have been friends throughout the years.

I am in a nursing home now and Heidi, thank you for bringing your Mom to visit. It meant so much to me.

I want to thank Nancy's sisters  Dorothy and Phyllis for the  laughter, too.

Nancy helped me name my second daughter, Kristine. She selected the spelling  of her first name and picked her middle name Denise.  

I send love to the entire family and may you feel God's warm embrace surrounding you during this time and always.
