Gerald and family, I am so sorry to hear of Nancy's passing.  She was an extraordinary woman.  It's probably been 10 years since we've talked, but I always enjoyed working with her and talking with her whenever she would call into the elevator.  She knew what she was doing, knew what she wanted, and had definite opinions about everything.  You knew where you stood with Nancy.    She was a trailblazer.  Independent.  She had grit and grace.  She pulled that combination off beautifully and not many women can do that.  I really respected her, admired her, and liked her.  She loved her family and was always so excited when she got to visit her other kids and grandkids.  Gerald, when you were single, she told me that you and she took care of each other.  Yet, she knew someday she would would be gone and all she ever wanted for you was for you to be able to go on without her and to be happy.  She said that is all she ever really wanted for all of her kids & grandkids.  She will be missed, but the good thing is she is with your Dad now because she really missed him too, but she said her family needed her here worse than he needed her in heaven. I really thought the world of your Mom.  She was one in a million.  Please know that you and your entire family are in my thoughts and prayers right now.  

My sweet Nancy. It was such a complete honor to take care of you and help you. I miss our talks so much but I know you're so much happier now with your husband. I will forever be thankful that God brought you into my life. Now you can really see how worthy you are. You are special. You are loved. You're an angel. I love you! Fly high sweet angel! I'll miss you!

I love you Nancy. On December 5th I spent all day with you. We had a long talk at the end of the evening. You would always tell me I know that you are busy, and I would always tell you Nancy that it is always a pleasure to talk with you. You made me laugh so many times. You touched my soul and made me fall in love with you in such a short time. You were kind and passionate and you were the best you you could be. I am honored to have had the chance to know you and love you.  I miss you so much and it hurts so much that you aren't here, but I know that you are at peace with it. I am so thankful that I asked you to pray with me before I left for the night. I held you hand tight and prayed. God heard our prayer and called you home. 
I didn't get the chance to tell you good bye, but I never said that anyways. Whenever I was leaving for the night I would simply say "I love you".

Mom I will sorely miss our talks and your wonderful stories of life. The many visits that we shared will be forever kept as precious memories.
Your life was such a blessing and the memories a treasure.
I was so fortunate to be in your life and I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything in this world.
