Norma Jean Cochran, 93, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on August 24, 2026 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1932 to Harry and Clara (Liston) Cochran in Tipton County, Indiana. Jean worked at General Motors for 35 years before retiring.
Jean loved volunteering at the Kokomo Rescue Mission Toy Donation Center for many years. Her volunteer work was a very important part of her life. She also volunteered at St. Joe and as a school bus driver for many years. Traveling was also important to Jean. Her adventures include, Germany and Hawaii.
Left to cherish her memory are her nephews, John Hale of Ft. Wayne, Chuck Cochran of Lafayette; niece, Marlene Hale of Kokomo; great-nephew, Mike Hale; friends, Beverly Suddarth, Julie (Phil) Good of Kokomo; honorary nieces and nephews, Brian (Judy) Good, William Good, Rebecca (Andrew) Virnich, Beverly (Bill) Hapner, Phillip Good.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Gladys and Bill.
Visitation will take place from 1:00 pm until the start of funeral services at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo. Entombment will follow. Share a memory with the family at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
