

Ozina (Wylie) Archer, 80, passed away May 29, 2018 at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born in Gainsboro, TN to Clayton and Jewell (Long) Wylie. On December 21, 1956, she married Raymond Archer. In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she worked for Delco in Assembly and eventually Radio Repair Mrs. Archer was a member of her beloved Center Road Church of Christ, the UAW, and Women's National Bowling Association. In addition to her memberships, she also enjoyed collecting many things (but really loved anything related to Elvis), shopping, traveling, and making sure everyone was taken care of.
In addition to her husband, Raymond, Ozina is survived her by children: James Ray Archer and Cathy (husband Bill) Phifer; grandchildren: Jordan (wife Jessica), Cory and Thomas Phifer; great grandchildren: Lexie and Greysen Phifer; beloved fur child, Tory; brothers: Bob (wife Kathie) and Ralph (wife Judy) Wylie; sisters: Shirley Ruth (husband Jeff) Roach, Deborah (husband George) McConnell; sister-in-law, Kathy Noland Wylie; lifelong friend and hairdresser, Jeff Rice; pastor and family friend Lynn Brust; physician and family friend, Dr. Lance Washington; physician and family friend, Dr. James Downing; many close relatives living in Arkansas. Mrs. Archer was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Franklin and Lloyd.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Center Road Church of Christ, 899 West 300 South Kokomo, IN 46902 (at the corners of Park and Center). Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until the time of the service Monday at the church. Mrs. Archer was a survivor of lung and breast cancer, Memorial Contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society for Breast and Lung cancer research. The family of Mrs. Archer would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Lance Washington, Dr. James Downing, Dr. Tracy Price and their staffs, along with the nurses and staff at Community Howard Regional Health for the wonderful care given to their wife, mother and grandmother.
