

Pamela Kay (Frakes) Smith, 64 of Greentown, IN passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020. She was born in Kokomo to Elmer Byers and Kathy (Tilley) Byers on December 29, 1955. She married Gregory Smith April 27, 2013 in Kokomo. He survives.
Pamela graduated from Western High School, class of 1975. Those who new Pam knew her well. If you didn't know her then you were missing out. She was a mother to all. Pam loved going to church, she was strong in her faith and her walk with God. She loved taking trips to Shipshewana, shopping the Amish Market. She was a small but mighty woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her flowers.
Pam also loved to read and sing. She enjoyed seven heartfelt years with her husband Greg. Together, they played Yahtzee and Dominos, took many weekend trips including their Sunday morning brunch at Cracker Barrel and their daily scripture readings.
Also surviving are children Gary (Carrie) Frakes, James (Tonya) Frakes, Shanna (Howard) Wolfe, and Joseph Frakes, sisters Melody Spaulding and Myra McCain, mother in law Susan K. Smith, sisters in law Annette Emerson and Dawn Vanbibber, grandchildren Keri Hurst, Aaron Smith, Angel (John) Shock, Christian Frakes, Michael Woodroof, Stephanie, Josiah, and Alainey Frakes, Austen, Serenna, and Brayden Martinez, Dakota Wilson, Danielle Melton-Vestal, Steven Melton, Kristyn (Taylor) Pickard, and Melissa Melton, great grandchildren Xavior Martinez and Octavia Frakes and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death is her first husband Gary Frakes Sr., four sisters, daughter in law Kimberly Frakes, and father in law Jerry Smith.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Carpenter's House on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 1pm with Pastor Mark Engle officiating. Gathering will be held prior from 11am to 1pm.
