Pauline Jordan went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, to see her Jesus face to face and also be reunited with her love of her life, Gene Jordan, who passed away April 16, 2002. She was born November 1, 1929, in Caryville, Tennessee, to Columbus and Nellie (Miller) Wilson. On October 17, 1946, in Rossville, Georgia, she married Huegene Jordan.
She loved spending time with her children, grandkids and great-grandkids and putting out a small garden in her backyard. She always said, “she loves her little blue house”. She also loved reading her Bible, her church and Pastor Mike Holloway and his wife.
She is survived by one son, Eugene Paul Jordan; three daughters, Betty (Joe) McCombs, Linda (Mike) Kepner, and Brenda Jordan; five grandkids, Steph (Doug) Weigt, Anthony (Jenny) Seagrave, Michelle (Matthew) Yoder, Chad (Heather) Kepner, and Todd (Amber) Jordan; 14 great-grandkids, all of Kokomo; and three sisters, Naomi Crutchfield of Michigan, Mary Mills of Kokomo, and Ola Jean LaMarr of Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
The family wants to thank St. Joseph Hospice, especially nurse practitioner, Deb Zent, and her team, for their loving kindness and tender care of our mother during her illness. Cancer may have taken her from us, but her love for us will never fade from our hearts. We will miss her very much, but our memories of her will never be lost, but treasured.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Temple Baptist Church, 1700 S. Goyer Rd., with Pastor Mike Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Baptist Church. Messages of condolences may be expressed online at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
