

Philip Ray Taskey, 60, Kokomo, passed away on Sunday September 2, 2018. Philip was born July 4, 1958 to the late Harold Taskey and Barbara (Atkins) Taskey. He married Paula A. (Young) Taskey May 5, 1984.
Phil graduated from Kokomo high school and attended Herron School of Art & Design. He worked for Ambassador Steel for 18 years and Chrysler for nearly 10 years. Phil enjoyed hunting deer and fishing. He was a member of Kokomo's fishing club, the Bass Angler's for years. Phil was a talented artist. He etched, engraved, carved wood, burned, and used different inks. He enjoyed being a grandfather to his granddaughter Ryelle, playing pretend and going to all the parks. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
Surviving Phil is his wife Paula, son Mitchell, daughter Shana, brothers Mike and Sam (Joni), sisters Sally Reed and Sandy Pickett, granddaughter Ryelle Hindman and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Roger Taskey, and granddaughter Shyanna McClain.
A Celebration for Philip will take place Friday September 7, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel at 1pm with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 4pm to 8pm at the mortuary. Burial will follow the service, processing to Albright Cemetery.
