Randall Herald Sweigart

Randall “Randy” Herald Sweigart, 51, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, with family by his side. Randy was born to Donald and Jennifer Sweigart on June 16, 1966 in New Castle, Indiana. Randy has shared his life with wife Missy Sweigart for 32 years.

He was a stay-at-home dad, papaw and handy-man. Randy loved to play pranks, especially on his grandkids. He enjoyed vacationing with his family in North Carolina and Tennessee. They would camp almost anywhere, backyard included. Randy loved to keep his family happy, and they had a lot of fun together.

Randy is survived by his wife, Missy Sweigart; parents Donald and Jennifer Sweigart; parents-in-law Russell and Lindia Bagwell; children Randy II (Amanda) Sweigart, Christopher (Amanda) Sweigart; Kevin (Anastacia) Sweigart, and Jamie (Curtis) Fawcett; siblings David Sweigart, Toby Jones, and Jeanie (Bo) Mattix; siblings-in-law Rusty Bagwell, Kathy (B.J.) Harris, and Vicky (Stevie) Gist; grandchildren Trent Rogers, John Thomas, Nicole Fagel, Nevaeh Sunday, Cayden Rife, Michael Sweigart, Conner Sweigart, Hunter Fawcett, Pheonix, Vylett, Billy Burden; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Randy is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Please dress casually. Randy will be laid to rest at Galveston Cemetery.
