

Richard Loren Adams Jr., formerly of Kokomo, went home with the Lord on Monday, June 5, in his home in Lake Mary, Florida, where he had resided for the past 19 years. Richard was born in 1938 to Richard L. Adams Sr. and Anne Elizabeth (Marsh) Adams. Both preceded him in death. Richard married Helen (Roe) Adams at Highland Park Church on August 19, 1961, and she survives. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage.
Rick served the United States Air Force for four years. He was employed by Pitney-Bowes for a number of years, then delivered for the Wonder Bread Bakery for 20 years. He then changed careers and became a school bus driver for two years. After locating to Florida, where he drove a bus for the Seminole County school district for eight years, he retired in 2006.
When Rick lived in Kokomo, he attended Highland Park Church and served in a variety of capacities. He was a man of many interests, but his favorite hobby was G-scale model trains. HIs family and friends will miss him dearly.
Rick is survived by daughter, Wendy Adams Baker (Bart), Sanford, Florida, and their children, Elizabeth and Victoria; daughter, Toni Adams Schnabel (Dan), Kokomo, and their children, Eric, from Troy, Michigan, and Jamie, Indianapolis; son, Zachary Scott Adams (Lisa), Walton, and their children, Connor, Indianapolis, and Corbin; and two brothers, Walter Marsh Adams of Asheville, North Carolina, and Neal Edward Adams, Mechanicsville, Maryland.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a graveside service to remember Richard at 2 p.m. Saturday. The service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Ed Vasicek officiating.
