Mr. Glendenning is survived by his son, Robert J. Glendenning of Kokomo; three grandchildren, Amy Jo Brown (husband: Jim), Kyle Mercer (wife: Dannette), and Ross Winegarderner (wife: Jessy); great-grandchildren, Jessy and Liberty Brown, Leah Mercer, Mykelah Mercer, Lilly Bell Mercer, and Jeremiah Winegarderner; and sister, Lilly Swensen of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha (Eades) Glendenning; his wife, Donna Glendenning, who passed away in 2007; and daughter, Beverly Winegarderner in 2006.
Mr. Glendenning served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1152 in Kokomo, member of the Elks Lodge in Tipton, and Eagles and Moose Lodges of Kokomo.
Services will be Saturday March 12, 2011 at 11 am at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo with John Newman officiating. Visitation will be Friday March 11, 2011 from 4pm-8pm at the funeral home. Family and friends may send condolences at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
