Robert P. Shore

Robert graduated from high school in Alton, IL. Following high school he joined the U.S. Army for 3 years and then enlisted in the Air Force, serving 20 years. In 1969, Robert served in the Vietnam War. He married his loving wife Esther on February 3, 1959. Robert and Esther had a beautiful daughter, Terry Lynn Shore-Beins, who was born December 14, 1959. Robert loved to ride his bike, scuba dive, mountain climb, travel, and spend time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Esther Shore; his son-in-law, Michael Edward Beins; his granddaughter, Brooke Hobscheidt and her husband Corey; two great-grandsons, Carson Henry and Crew Michael Hobscheidt, of Plattsmouth, NE; and Copernicus, his loving dog pal.

Robert was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Lynn Shore-Beins, his father and step-mother, Byron and Marie Shore, his mother, Charlotte Shore, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glen and Edna Stapleton, and many friends.

A memorial service to honor Robert’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 23 at 5:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1967 W. Boulevard Street, Kokomo, with Pastor Jeff Sexton officiating. Cremation will be accorded. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, with envelopes available at the church.
