Robert A. Weikle

Robert A. Weikle, 73, Kokomo, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born June 21, 1937, in Kokomo, to Harold Weikle and Grace (Hollingsworth) Hammond. He married Faye Zaske, and she survives.

He served in the United States Air Force and worked at the Continental Steel Mill. He was a member of Naphtali Lodge #389 F & A.M., Kokomo Chapter 89 Order of the Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, Murat Shriners of Indianapolis and a long time Little League coach at Lafayette Park.

In addition to his wife, Faye Weikle, he is survives by one son, Steven A. (Linda) Weikle; one daughter, Kim M. (Billy) Weikle McCartney; five grandchildren, Erin Weikle, Erica (Shaun) Fewell, Drew McCartney, Jesse McCartney, and Joey McCartney; and two great-grandchildren, Jonah Fewell, and Arwen Fewell.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Gregory Weikle.

A memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with a Masonic service to be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Condolences to the family may be made at www.sunsetmemorygarden.com.
