Sandra Kay Mince

Sandra Kay (Simmons) Mince, 72, of Kokomo, passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 4:41 AM at Community Howard Regional Hospital. She was born on August 12, 1953 to the late Douglas Ray and Evelyn Louise (Harrison) Simmons in Kokomo, Indiana. Sandra married Jimmy C. Mince on July 17, 1971 in Kokomo and he passed away on January 8, 2001.

Sandra was the manager of the north-side Dairy Queen for several years before she started working in the cafeteria at Chrysler Transmission Plant where she retired. Sandra enjoyed bowling, playing Euchre, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Erik) Jarvis and Jennifer (Nancy) Mince; three grandchildren, Sean Jarvis, Erika Jarvis, and Alexandra Mince; two great-grandchildren, Zoey Jarvis and Piper Jarvis; brother, Danny (Sandy) Simmons; sister, Karen (Gary) Willis; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death is her loving husband of 30 years, Jimmy C. Mince; brother, Jimmy Simmons; and her parents.

The family of Sandra will have a private graveside service.
