Born September 30, 1944, in Elwood, Indiana, she was the daughter of Edwin “Bill” and Veatrice “Kate” Reynolds. She graduated from Wendell L. Willkie High School in 1962. On November 30, 1968, she married Larry Allen Patton at First Baptist Church in Elwood, Indiana. They shared 48 years of marriage filled with dedication, laughter, and adventure. Together they raised daughters Leslie and Donna, and lovingly remembered their infant daughter Laura Lynn Patton.
Sandy worked at Delco Electronics for 33 years before retiring in 1998. She and Larry traveled the U.S. in their RV, and later she delivered RVs nationwide. Sandy was a woman who loved life, a patriot devoted to God and country, a student of history, and a proud grandmother to Samuel “Sammy” Harley—now reunited with him in heaven, most likely playing catch. She was a past Worthy Matron of Greentown #195 OES, a member of Church of One Accord, and President of the Windfall Girls Softball League.
She is survived by daughters Leslie (Steve) Harley and Donna (Benjamin) Shepley; sisters-in-law Rita Reynolds and Aletha Churchwell. Preceded in death by her husband Larry, parents, two brothers Steve and George Reynolds, infant daughter Laura Lynn Patton, and grandson Samuel “Sammy” Harley.
