On August 27, 1976, Sarah was married to the love of her life, Edgar Murry, at their home in Kokomo. Edgar preceded Sarah in passing on January 21, 1988. Sarah had spent 30 years working for Zabo Foods in the cafeteria at the Chrysler plant in Kokomo, retiring in 1978. While working for Zabo, Sarah was very active in the union and even spent some time serving as their president.
Sarah was a member of the Senior Citizen Club of Kokomo, and kept herself occupied by doing crossword and word search puzzles, and playing bingo and cards. She also enjoyed following politics. Above all, Sarah was a very family-oriented person and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by her children, James (Nancy) Meyers, Gene (Diana) Meyers, Sharon (Donald) Warnock, Marshall (Sharlet) Meyers, Carol Hodges, Sherry Arnold, Shannon (Derek) Smith, and Joshua Murry; grandchildren, Timothy (Melissa) Driver, Serena (Brent) Harrington, Tonia (Clayton) Bargerhuff, Eric (Angie) Meyers, Tina (Aaron) Guss, Kathy (Chris) Roberson, John (Carly) Arnold, Jessica (Trent) Umbarger, Kaleb Williams, Brayden Williams, Alex Arnold, Devon Murry, Kasey Murry, Summer (Tray) Cummings, Rayne (Tauni) Hendrickson, Skye Hendrickson, and Cheyenne Hodges; step grandchildren, Jeremy (Jen) Warnock, Tim (Stephanie) Warnock, and Becca (Nick) Myers; brothers, Wayne (Enie) Myers, Jerry (Vicky) Myers, and Joseph (Drenda) Myers; sisters, Marie Glunt and Lora Melton; several great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sarah was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Beth Anne Meyers, and Autaumn Boykin.
There will be a public visitation for Sarah held at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home in Kokomo on Saturday, May 25th from 11-1, followed by interment at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
