

Sarah Elizabeth Williams, 89, Kokomo, passed away peacefully with family at her side at 10:12 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the home of her daughter in Kokomo. She was born on October 2, 1936 in Marion, Virginia. While there, she met her future husband, Earl Robert “Bob” Williams Jr. while he was visiting family. They were married on June 28, 1953 and moved to Kokomo. He preceded her in death August 11, 2018.
In Sarah’s younger years, she and Bob enjoyed going to Nashville, Tennessee and Brown County, Indiana. They always look forward to yearly trips with friends to Fan Fest in Nashville to meet their favorite country music artists.
Sarah retired from Delco Electronics in 1998 after 30 years of employment. She was a member of UAW #292. Sarah’s hobbies included gardening, finding collectibles, visiting flea markets, and going antiquing. She also enjoyed having family stop by to visit and playing card games with family and friends.
Surviving are her two daughters, Deborah (William) Dunn, of Westfield; and Roberta (Anthony) Myers, of Kokomo; 12 grandchildren, Shannon (Adam) Castle, Heather (Anthony) Hutchens, Christopher (Stephanie) Dunn, Travis Dunn, Keith (Madison) Dunn, Tana (Josh) Mathieu, Matthew (Kelly) Myers, Mandy (Jeremy) Carter, Meghan (Jon) Walters, Maddie (Jeremy) Delp, Molly (Jonathan) Harris, and Kyle Williams; 22 great-grandchildren, Corey, Tiffany, Stephen, Jalen, Alex, Cheyenne, Faith, Destiny, Peyton, Brooklyn, Phoenix, Lilyanna, Khloe, Zophia, Cecelia, Grayson, Chloe, Lincoln, Sarah, Zoe, and Emmalin; 6 great-great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Eva Mae (Gary) Adkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death is her husband of 65 years, Bob Williams; her parents, Henry C. and Mandy Harris; daughter, Katherine Tafflinger; son, Keith Williams; granddaughter, Heidi Oakes; sister, Charlotte “Bell” Schrader; and brothers, Henry “Red”, Preston, and John Harris.
The family would like to extend gratitude to Dr. Lance Washington and to Cassandra Cooper and Monica Westerman of Cherish Hospice for their exceptional care, love, and compassion they extended to Sarah and her entire family.
There will be a committal service for Sarah held at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery, Chapel of Love, 2097 West Alto Road, Kokomo, on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
