Obituary of Shane Andrew Henry Jackson
Shane Andrew Henry Jackson, 21, Kokomo, passed away Saturday August 11, 2018. Shane was born October 6, 1996 in Kokomo, to Lindsay Rene Miller. Shane was a 2014 graduate of Western High School. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps that following February. Shane was an avid game player, whether it be board games, video games or card games. He loved walking barefoot through the woods with his dog Isabelle and his sisters. Camping, hiking, hanging out and causing mischief with his closest friends, Michael and Kenny, were among his favorite things to do. Although he was known to be the class clown, he was extremely intelligent, witty, strong willed and loved to debate anything and everything. Shane had the oddest sense of humor and told complicated jokes that made you think, "Huh"?! Shane is survived by his mother Lindsay, the man he called dad, Travis, sisters Olyvia, Jessika, Heather, Brooke, Kaitlin, Hanna, Kinser, and Elizabeth, brother Larry, aunt Kathy Fields who helped raise Shane, grandma Katie Burnett, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Those that have preceded him in death are his great grandparents Paul W. and Barbara Jean Fields, and they also helped raise Shane to become the great man that he was and his great great grandma Dorothy Louise Murphy, who always told him he should become a politician. A Celebration of Life for Shane will be Friday August 17, 2018 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel at 10am with Pastor John Clark officiating. Friends and family will gather the night before between 4pm and 8pm at the mortuary. Burial will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery following the service Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ellersmortuarywebster.com for the Jackson family.
