

Shirley was a woman of deep faith, unwavering strength, and remarkable determination. She retired from Copeland Corporation in Sidney, Ohio, in 1994 after many years of dedicated service and was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
She was also well known for her cooking and took great joy in preparing meals for family and friends. Her kitchen was often a gathering place where loved one's shared food, laughter, and cherished memories.
Above all else, Shirley cherished her family. She believed family mattered most and dedicated her life to loving, supporting, and caring for those around her. Whether around the dinner table or during life's special occasions, she found joy in bringing people together through food, fellowship, and faith. She faced life's challenges with courage, grace, and perseverance, always placing the needs of those she loved before her own.
Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy R. Canady; stepdaughter, Theresa Garrison; her parents, Arlettie and Rufus Partin; her brothers, Mike Partin and Edward Partin; and her sister, Delphia Partin Azzi.
She is survived by her stepson, Billy R. Canady of Kokomo, Indiana; daughter, Pamela Canady of Deerfield Beach, Florida; sons, John F. (Janet) Canady of Kokomo, Indiana, and Jason E. Canady of Ball Ground, Georgia. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeanette (Joe) Napier of LaFollette, Tennessee; Vontella (Jerry) Mann of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Patricia (Kenny) Brister of LaFollette, Tennessee.
Shirley was blessed with three grandchildren: Kenny Canady of Kokomo, Indiana; Kristin (Dave) DeLong of Noblesville, Indiana; and Kolbi Canady of Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren, including Kamri Canady, Madisynn DeLong, Graceynn Canady, Nathaniel Blanchard, Emmelynn Canady, Novalynn Canady, and Oaklynn Canady, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
Though her family grieves her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of the Lord. Her memory will be forever treasured by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and neighbors. Her love, faith, kindness, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Albright Cemetery in Kokomo, Indiana, with Reverend Steven Sherwood officiating.
