Stanley Ray Carlile Sr

Stanley R. Carlile, aged 76, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, in his hometown of Kokomo, IN. Born on April 9, 1948, Stan was a man known for his quiet demeanor and generous heart. Throughout his life, he loved the simple things, fishing, spending time with family, and reading.

Stan loved the community he spent time with at reenactments, fishing, hunting, and more throughout the state. Stan was not only a cherished member of the community but also a devoted father to his two sons, Wes and Stanley Jr., enjoying time they had together. Stan honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. Stan’s legacy is one of quiet compassion and selfless service. Stan leaves two sons, Wes and Stanley Jr., two daughters-in-law, Andrea and Sarah, two granddaughters, Julienne and Ella, a sister, Teresa, a brother, Gary, a niece Amber Kinslow and nephew Tony Rutherford.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the care of the family, We Care, and HVAF. A Memorial Gathering will take place from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 West Alto Road Kokomo, Indiana 46902.
