Steven J Chism

Steven J. Chism, 65, of Kokomo, passed away at 9:08 AM Monday July 17, 2017 at Community Howard Regional, Kokomo. Born August 2, 1951 in Kokomo, he was the son of the late Walter Chism and Betty(Smith) Chism. On December 12, 1996 in Kokomo, he married Beverly Kay (Hendrix). She preceded him in death on July 9, 2017. He was employed with Chrysler for 30 years, retiring December 31, 2008. He was a member of U.A.W. Local #685 and loved watching trains and riding his Harley Davidson.

Survivors include two daughters Carla Bruss and John Schmitt of Peru and Amber (Mike) Vasily of Kokomo; one step-daughter Angela Osborne of Kokomo; oner brother Kevin Chism; two sisters-in-law Margaret (Jesse) Sisk and Janet (Jim) Myers, both of Kokomo; his first wife Teena Wilburn of Kokomo. There are also several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Beverly Kay Chism.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo. Cremation will follow.
