Suzanne Marie (Elliott) Terrell was born May 7, 1936, to her parents Glenn and Louise Elliott in Gas City, Indiana. She grew up on the family farm and later attended Mississinewa High School where she participated in marching band. Following high school, she took classes in business college. She married Clifford Eldon Terrell in Marion, Indiana on December 28, 1958. They then moved to Valparaiso, Indiana while he studied engineering. Shortly after, they relocated to Kokomo, Indiana where they built their own home. There in Kokomo, they raised their two children, Mark and Brenda.
Over the years, Suzanne found various ways to help support the family financially, in addition to being a homemaker. Following her business courses, she worked as an administrator at a trucking company. Later, she worked for several families providing childcare, and as a church secretary. In the home, some of her favorite hobbies included crafting, sewing, quilting, and researching her family history. She served for many years as a volunteer in her church and as a 4-H leader in her community.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Eldon; children, Mark (Regina) Terrell, and Brenda (John) Piotrowicz; 3 grandchildren, Rebekah (Travis) Burghardt, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Stewart, and Rachel Piotrowicz; a step-grandson, Jordan Martin; 5 great-grandchildren, Isaac, Ezra, Norah, and Lydia Burghardt, and Ada Stewart.
Visitation will take place at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home, 2097 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, Indiana on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 1:00 PM until the start of funeral services at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.
