Tommy W. Jarrell, 76, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on June 17, 2026. He was born November 23, 1949 to the late Walter and Harriet Jarrell. Tommy’s life was marked by steady dedication, a strong work ethic, and the quiet pride that comes from building something with one’s own hands and keeping one’s word.
Tommy graduated from Portland High School. In 1970, Tommy married Connie Stein, and in 1972 they moved to Kokomo. He was self-employed throughout his life, Tommy devoted himself to honest work and practical skill. He spent two years as a Snap-On dealer and also worked as a service station dealer and mechanic. Over the years, his commitment to his craft was evident in the businesses he owned and operated—Tom's Standard and Jarrell's Auto Repair—places where reliability mattered, and where his hardworking nature showed in every day’s effort. Above all, he was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Outside of work, Tommy found simple pleasures whether it was tending a garden, preparing a meal, or spending quiet hours fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife Connie Jarrell; children, Aaron Jarrell (Stacy) and Kathy Clester (Joey); grandchildren, Kelsey Jarrell, Makayla Jarrell, Adam Jarrell, Tearsten Gonzalez (Loren), Owen Munson (Jessy); and great grandchildren, Kayden, Kaisley, and Lucia.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Ellers Mortuary Webster Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, Indiana 46902, on June 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Memorial Service will follow at the same location on June 24, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
