

He was born on June 2nd, 1946 in Logansport, IN to his parents John and Kathryn (Byers) Sholty.
He was preceded in death by his father John Sholty, brother John “Johnny” Sholty, son William Coty Sholty, and grandson Brandon Rairigh.
He is survived by his mother Kathryn (Byers) Sholty, wife Connie (Magill) Sholty, daughter Denise (Jim) Rairigh, sons Dustin (Amber) Sholty and Jared (Kacie) Sholty; brothers Terry (Susie) Sholty and Daniel “Danny” Sholty, sister Nyla Kay Webster; grandchildren Kayla Kelley, Tayler Rairigh, Gabby Sholty, William Sholty, Alexis Sholty, and Mayson Sholty; great granddaughter Braelynn Rairigh.
Bill was a loving family man who enjoyed being outdoors camping and fishing with his family. He was also a graduate of 1964 North Miami High School and recently had a class reunion.
He enjoyed vegetable gardening with his family and as a younger man he loved flying airplanes and skydiving. Socializing with his customers over his twenty-eight year career with Expert Transmissions and in the final three years with Dan Young in Tipton lead to great stories and friendships. During his automotive career he also was honored to teach students on building transmissions at Ivy Tech Community College.
As a longtime member of Main Street United Methodist Church he grew his faith and love for the Lord. He will always be remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather in which they were his greatest joys in life.
In Lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be made to Main Street United Methodist Church in memory of Bill.
