Obituary of Willie Henry Bullock
Willie Henry Bullock, 77, of Kokomo, passed away at 2:45am on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Waterford Health Campus. He was born on March 25, 1941, in Silver City, Mississippi to the late Monk and Fannie (Williams) Bullock. He married Annie (Thomas) Bullock on May 24, 1986 in Peru, and she survives. Willie retired from Chrysler in 2001 after 32 years in production. He was a member of the UAW#685. Willie enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing cards, traveling, and riding his bicycle. He also enjoyed photography and videography. Willie was a member of the Wayman Chapel AME Church, where he served as a trustee, an usher, and Men’s Choir. Willie is survived by his loving wife of 32 years; Annie; son, Christopher Shawn (Carmalita) Thomas; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, James (Lillie) Bullock, of Belzoni, MS, Andrew Bullock, of Detroit, MI, Albert Bullock, of Gary, IN; two sisters, Carrie Twymon, of Ferndale, MI, and Brenda Terry, of Gary, IN; mother-in-law, Annie Thomas, Sardis, AL; five brothers-in-law, Bennett (Ethel) Thomas, of Selma, AL, and McKenzie (Philippa) Thomas, of Decatur, GA, Frederick (Sarah) Thomas, of Euclid, OH, Ervin (Bettie) Thomas, of Dallas, GA, and Carl Thomas, of Sardis, AL; sister-in-law, Mable Thomas, of Euclid, OH; special niece, Robin Bullock; best friend, Stan McCroy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Dorothy Battle. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 4, at 1:00pm at Wayman Chapel AME Church, 920 North Apperson Way, Kokomo, with Pastor William Gary officiating. The family will have a time of public visitation from 11:00am until the time of service, on Saturday, also at the church. Burial will take place in Alabama, at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Willie’s memory to Wayman Chapel AME Church, envelopes will be provided.
