Adrienne F Thronas

Adrienne “Renee” Therese Fernandes Thronas, 90, passed away on July 14, 2025, at home surrounded by her daughters. She was born in Lihue, Kauai, on July 8, 1935.

Mrs. Thronas was the renowned Music Teacher at Kapaa High School for over 35 years as well as the Choir Director for St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry B. Thronas, parents Frank and Emily Fernandes, son-in-law Richard A. Kahoonei, brothers Gilbert “Sooky” Fernandes Sr., Raymond Fernandes and sister Dorathemae Drumeller.

She is survived by her four daughters Tamee Thronas-Kahoonei, Shelby (Kalani) Dabin, Mandy (Ryan) Thronas-Brown, Lainie (Greg) Wright, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Kapaa, Kauai, on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025. Visitation is from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 11 a.m., with burial to follow. Celebration of Life continues at St. Catherine Coyle Hall. Aloha attire suggested.
