

Dolores “Dolly” M. Saladaga, 88, passed away on June 5, 2026, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waimea. She was born on April 26, 1938, in Koloa, Kauai.
Throughout her life she worked many jobs mainly in the food service industry (butcher, KCC cafeteria). Dolly will be remembered for her cooking, but she was especially known for making pasteles and gandule rice. She loved baseball as a player and a fan. She enjoyed fishing and being a member of Kauai Bible Church. She leaves behind a reputation for hard work, grit and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Lucy Manus Sr., son Bobby Saladaga, and sister Madeline Braddock.
She is survived by her daughters Earlene Leilani Saladaga, Nadine (Jesse) Quides, Charlene (Dean) Sacramed, Raeleen “Raelo” Saladaga (Bobby Bradley), grandson/caregiver Scott Salinas, 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held in private at a later date.
Borthwick Kauai Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
