Emerlita “Mering” Allado Esposo, 84, passed away on Sept. 16, 2026, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital in Lihue, Kauai. She was born on Sept. 22, 1941, in Bauang, La Union, Philippines. She retired from Lawai Beach Resort in Poipu, Kauai.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alejandrino and Faustina Allado, brothers Rodolfo Allado and Eddie Manuel.
She is survived by her husband Enrique “Ricky” Esposo Sr., sons Edilberto “Edil” (Delia) Esposo, Enrique “Bobby” (Annie) Esposo, Edmund (Vida) Esposo, daughter Josephine “Josie” Esposo, sisters Nena Manuel, Virginia (Roger) Valencia, Angeline (Warren) Racca, Grace Allado, 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Friends may visit the family on Friday, Nov. 13, 2026, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa, Kauai, for Rosary service at 5 p.m., and again on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Mass to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., burial to follow at noon at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
