Herbert Akira Nishikawa of Lihue, passed away on November 27, 2023, at the age of 84. He was born on October 12, 1939. He was a retired professor of nursing at the University of Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by parents Masanori and Yoshiko NIshikawa, siblings Edwin, Frances Galdeira and Henry Sr. He is survived by a sister Bessie Furushima of Lihue, sister-in law Gladys NIshikawa of Los Angeles and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and aunt. Private services will be held. Borthwick Kauai Mortuary and Kauai Memorial Gardens is assisting the family with the arrangements.”
