Joseph "Joey" Sidney Tavares of Kapaa formerly of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on May 4, 2014 at Queens Medical Center, Oahu at the age of 58. Born on Kauai September 16, 1955, he worked for Kauai Coffee Co. He is preceded in death by: father, Joseph Tavares Jr. survived by:mother, Angelica "Angela" Tavares, Kalaheo; son, David (Monica) Tavares, California; brothers, Wallace "Wally" (Dinah) Tavares, Kalaheo, Thomas "Tommy" Tavares, Kalaheo; 2 Granddaughters; Numerous Aunties, Uncles, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Chapel, Koloa.
