Michael was a powerful artist at hand, making and putting up decorations (visuals) at Macy’s Kauai, as well as for his family and friends. He really enjoyed making driftwood arrangements from the ocean. He also liked taking care of fish at home, as well as painting with acrylics and giving paintings out to friends and family. He was a very strong and dynamic individual who was loved and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents Deogracio and Francis Doctolero, brothers Anthony Doctolero and Deogracio “Baba” Doctolero Jr.
He is survived by his partner Steven Kline, brother Melvin (Dana) Doctolero, sister Julie Kaluahine, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m.
