Noreen “Rene” Leinaala Caycayon, 72, passed away on March 15, 2026, at Wilcox Medical Center in Lihue, Kauai. She was born on July 1, 1953, in Maui, Hawaii. She was a manager at Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty Rental Car Agencies.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Nancy Canto and sister Kathleen Ellis.
She is survived by her husband Patrick “Skip” Caycayon, daughters Cindra (Michael) Manera, Robyn (Brent) Obrero, son Christopher (Tiare) Caycayon, sisters Doreen “Pua” Canto, Primrose (Dennis) Tarpley, Lavie Ann (Fred) Raymond, brother Ralph “Boy” (Sarah) Canto and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa. Visitation begins at 10 a.m., with the service at 11:15 a.m., followed by burial at 1 p.m. at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
