Norman “Toppy” Leslie Braun, 86, passed away on June 8, 2025, in Koloa. He was born on December 28, 1938, in Hawai’i. He was in the U.S. Navy. He was a retired fire captain from Kauai Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Margaret Braun, and his sister, Loretta Braun.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Braun, daughters Carla Kurokawa and Carlette (Michael) Frye, sons Carl (Kelly) Braun and Calvin Braun, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Private funeral will be held at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Family and friends are encouraged to join a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Kauai Veterans Center, Lihue.
The family suggests flowers to be omitted.
