

Brian David Spice, 54, passed away unexpectedly at his home in San Diego, CA, on April 7, 2015. Brian was born on 12/21/1960 in Bound Brook, NJ, to James W. Spice, Jr. and Marion Spice. At age 8, Brian and his family moved to Seaside Park, NJ, where he enjoyed the beaches and boardwalk. Brian graduated with honors from St. Joseph High School in Toms River, NJ. He then attended and graduated with a BA degree in Business from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Brian worked for the Kmart Corporation in Rio Grande, NJ, and Brick, NJ, from 1982 until 1988. At that time, he moved to San Diego, CA. In San Diego, Brian was employed as an Account Representative at UARCO, now Standard Register, for 24 years. Travel was a real passion for Brian. He enjoyed many trips across the United States, Europe, Scandinavia and the Caribbean. Brian was an avid reader, enjoyed history, and spending time with his dog at the beach and park. Brian is preceded in death by his father, James, his mother, Marion, and his brother, Bruce H. Spice. He is survived by his wife, Karen; two older brothers, Lee C. Spice of Westfield, MA, and William J. Spice of Seaside Park, NJ; one younger sister, Victoria K. Clarkson of Lanoka Harbor, NJ, and many loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the J Street Beach in Seaside Park, NJ, on Sunday, May 3rd at 10 am.
