

After graduating high school in Florida Dan followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Navy. After 21 years of service he would separate from the Navy September 30, 2003. After his career in the Navy he was employed by Nielsen Ratings for another 18 years.
Dan was an avid modeler and was a fixture in the San Diego area model shows, contests, and expos along with being a member of many modeling groups. He was a builder of armor, science fiction, tanks, and airplane kits as well as complex Lego creations.
Dan was described by his friends and fellow sailors as a man of few words but had a heart that was huge. While gruff, he was generous, funny, honest, and hard-working. He was loved by so many.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Rod Foster. He is survived by his mother Mildred, brother Jon, stepmother Judith, stepsister Angie and stepbrother Kari, Cousin Doug and his wife Lou along with their two daughters Virginia and Amanda. Cousins Chris and Ken and his God children Andrew and Krystal.
A celebration of life will be held on August 22, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76135
As of the morning of July 8, 2021, “Devil Dan” has completed his final “Liberty Call.” Until we meet again, “farewell and following seas.”
