I just want our friends to know I lost my Dee after going together from the 8th grade Lakeside Jr. High then four years at Grossmont High School. We were engaged in the 11th grade and were married one week after graduation. We celebrated our 60th anniversary at Life House.
She had 24-hour care and severe Alzheimer's final stages. With a few special friends, cake, punch, and balloons for my love, Dee, Dee woke up to eat cake and ice cream. Thank God that was special. I'm home with my Golden Retriever, Duke and Lhasa Apso, Coco. I tell myself I can't be sad because God gave me Dee for 65 years. Together always with my love, Dee.
There will be no celebration or services.
We have two children, Robin and Randy, Dee's sister Sandy Baker, also our special family the Rick Rodriguez family, Rich, Adalia, Ricky Jr., Leahle, and Ulie. They have given their special care for over 30 years. Our background is the Prendergast owned "The Galley Florist" in San Diego since 1930, and we loved our customers.
I hope to be with you, honey, soon. Tom, I need my quiet time with my dogs.

Derrelyn, my mom, was a very special person who taught me how to grow up, how to be funny, how to dance and enjoy music, try new things, love, play tennis, surf and to work hard and be the best person I could be. Growing up we did have that special Mom and Son bond.
I will miss the mom I grew up with as the Alzheimer's Disease is a tragic disease that is hard to watch any family member go through. I remember a visit with my mom in the last months and I leaned in and said Hello, This is Randy.... she looked up and smiled but could not speak.
I will miss my mom! I know many of you will to.
