Dorothy Ann Poliandro
September 7, 1937 – January 25, 2019
Dorothy Ann Poliandro, 81, passed away peacefully in Murrieta on Friday January 25thsurrounded by family. Ann was originally from Eccles England, and served under Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps where she began her nursing career at the age of seventeen. She continued on to specialize in midwifery, and after coming to the United States, she earned her degree as a Nurse Practitioner from Chapman University. Ann and her husband Jim lived on a small orchard in Fallbrook where they raised their two sons. They later moved to Alpine where Ann continued to work at a nearby Indian health clinic. After retirement, they moved to Murrieta to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Ann and her husband Jim were married for 45 years before his death in August of 2014. Ann is survived by her two sons Vince Poliandro and Richard Poliandro, sisters Joan Hysmans and Sheila Irlam, and her seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Gertrude Noblett, her brothers Peter and David Noblett, and son Philip Poliandro. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday February 6that Our Lady of Light Catholic Church located at 9136 Riverside Drive, in Descanso California, with Father Steven Larian officiating. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery at 2495 West Victoria Drive, in Alpine California. Arrangements are by Erickson-Anderson Mortuary.
