

Harriett Laurayne Hubbell Passed on January 8, 2017 from complications of Congestive Heart Failure. Harriett was born on December 18, 1928 in British Barbados West Indies to Harold Browne and Bernal Parris Browne.
She relocated to New York from Barbados. While working multiple jobs she graduated from Beauty College and Broadcasting school. True to her ambitions and desire for advancement, she later moved to San Diego and successfully completed her Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. She was employed with the San Diego School District as a secretary for over 30 years. The move to San Diego proved to be even more satisfying when she met the Love of her Life, Norman William Hubbell, and the couple married on March 20, 1976.
Harriett was predeceased by her husband Norman, her beloved husband of 38 years. She She is survived by her 6 Children, Tony Browne, Cicely Annette Green, Sandra Doaks and her husband Sam, Beverley Callender and her husband Hattan, Kim Vetter, and Keith DiFronzo, along with several grandchildren, Alan and Randy Watson, Sam Doaks, Jr., Cory Browne, Richele Callender, Gerald Doaks, Bryan Browne, and Nikko Callender. Her great grandchildren, Donte Watson, Tyson and Dominic Doaks.
Our family was blessed to have the love and help of our extended family friends, Hank Hostetter, Debbie and Mike Franceware, Debbie and John Floyd, Rey and Lita Devera, Mrs. Branch, Eileen Rogers and family, Orlando and Rosie Casias, the members of her beloved Chapel that kept her in their prayers, and friends and coworkers who meant so much to her throughout her life.
