On December 2, he married the love of his life, Erika Baumgaertel. They recently celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. He worked for Nielsen Construction for 27 years and also earned his contractor’s license. He worked as an expert craftsman and taught many apprentices the practice of his trade. Heinz was considered an expert in what he did, and everyone respected him. He retired in 1993. Heinz will especially be remembered for being a wonderful husband, father, and Opa. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed traveling with his family to almost all of the fifty states. We loved him very much and his granddaughter, Evelyn was his “Ray of Sunshine.” Survivors include his loving wife, Erika, his daughter, Denise, granddaughter, Evelyn, and his son-in-law, Joe. His son, Heinz (Baby Hank), preceded his death and passed away on May 27, 1975. A reception will be held on Thursday, July 2nd. Please donate money to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
