Kay Simonds, born the middle child of Edward and Louise Gootee and a 1961 graduate of Our Lady of Peace Academy. She married her lifelong love, Jim Simonds on May 25, 1963 and they have two children; Nicole (Simonds) Percival and Matt Simonds; seven grandchildren; Zachary Percival, Andrew Percival, Hannah Percival, Tyler Simonds, Nathan Simonds, Katelynn Simonds, and John Matt Simonds, and one great-grandchild Hylend Beery.
Preceded in death by her sisters; Mary Louise Gootee and Janice Brown, and brother; James Gootee. And, is survived by brother Hal Gootee.
She loved to travel, go camping and visiting with family.
Kay was a loving, caring, wholesome, and religious person, who will be missed by all.
