La Darell Oliver Reed

La Darell Oliver Reed, age 47, of San Diego, California passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 6:19 am. La Darell was born December 27, 1973. He attended Stockton Elementary in his childhood years, Memorial Jr. High in his early adolescent, and Hoover High as a teenager. Life presented its challenges but he still made the best of it and loved life. He loved to play football, he enjoyed eating good food, and hanging out with his friends and family. La Darell was well known as the class clown and his friends often referred to him as L.D. His sense of humor, large appetite, and love for his family as well as his close friends will be forever cherished.

He was born to Oliver Reed and Roxanne Clark-Reed, he grew alongside his siblings Lea Antoinette Reed, Kenny Arthur Reed, and Kimberly D. Reed. However, his close family included De'Leayah Wright, Nikayla Jackson, Nyla Holt-Reed, Nyonah Reed, Kenny Arthur Reed Jr., Gianna Woodson, Geleah Woodson, Bryce Reed, Braelen Reed, and a host of other aunts, uncles, and cousins. In death, La Darell was predeceased by his grandparents and other close family members; Rosa Lee Reed, Homer Reed, James William Clark, Vinia Robertson, James Robertson, and aunt Delores Robertson, Deborah Lee Clark and Uncle Robert Reed.

A memorial service for La Darell will be held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Erickson-Anderson Mortuary, 8390 Allison Ave, La Mesa, CA 91942.
