Marie Louise Daley

Born in Tuscany Italy on January 31, 1920, the family immigrated to the United States when Marie was just a few months old. The family settled down in Chicago, where Marie grew up. She married her husband James Daley and the family moved to San Diego. They had one child James Patrick Daley who loved sports especially baseball. Marie worked for the office workers union for 35 years till she retired, her husband worked for the county of San Diego as a surveyor till he retired in the mid 1970s. Marie lost her husband in 1977 to cancer, she never remarried. Marie loved to stay busy, she volunteered at St. Therese and at the Ji Kaiser Hospital gift shop for almost 30 years. She loved to read the news paper and keep up on current events. She also loved sports, football and baseball in particular. Marie has two granddaughters, and two great grandchildren. Marie loved children and was loved by them. Marie was a very independent person and lived at her home till she was 94 years old. Marie loved life and life loved her. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
