2019 at the age of 62. Tricia was born on March 16, 1957 to Robert and Velma Felios in La Mesa, California. Tricia graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1975, and later attended San Diego State University where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Physical Education.
Tricia Married the love of her life, Keith Ochs, on June 27, 1981. She leaves behind her husband, Keith, her three daughters, Brittany, Briley and Braelynn, and her grandchildren, Brooklynn, Maverick and Benjamin along with a host of relatives and friends.
Tricia touched many lives throughout the years and was an important part of the community. She was a gymnastics coach for the La Mesa Recreation Center for more than 35 years and coached at Aztec Gymnastics.
Tricia loved nature and the outdoors. She especially loved boogie boarding at Torrey Pines
State Beach (her absolute favorite spot). More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Tricia had many accomplishments, including being one of the first females in San Diego to receive a full athletic scholarship to SDSU. She was also the first gymnast from San Diego to make it to the National Gymnastics Championships. Tricia later went on to compete in Body Building. She won the title of Miss California Coast and Miss Inland Empire.
Tricia will always be remembered for her upbeat and positive personality, bringing happiness to all of those around her. She will be missed by so many.
Memorial Services are planned for September 24, 2019 at 11:00am at the Erickson-Anderson Mortuary located at 8390 Allison Avenue, La Mesa CA 91941.
Please join Tricia’s family for a celebration of life at the La Mesa Community Center at 2:30pm following the memorial service. All friends and family are encouraged to come together after the service to share their favorite stories and memories while honoring Tricia’s legacy.
