Patricia Ann King

Patti was born and raised in La Mesa, CA, daughter of George Beiswenger and Margaret Riordan Beiswenger both of whom, as well as one sister, Georgeanne, preceded her in death. She is survived by a sister, Colleen Johnson (Travis) of Houston, Texas.

Patti served the County of San Diego in a variety of staff officer positions for over 25 years, retiring in 2011. Prior to County service, she worked for the City of San Diego as a city council legislative aide and for Pacific Telephone. Patti was a graduate of Grossmont High School and San Diego State University.

An avid tennis player and a member of both the San Diego Tennis Club and the Lake Murray Tennis Club, Patti enjoyed many friendships and competitive doubles matches with her playing partners. She was also a founding member of the Funsters, a close-knit group of current and former County employees and their spouses who travel and dine together. Patti loved long, conversation-rich walks at Mission Bay, Lake Murray, and the downtown waterfront.

A private service will be held on a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Father Joe’s Villages of San Diego.
