Born in Los Angeles, Dick made his home in San Diego, California, where he and his wife Anne built a life rooted in faith, service, and family. Married for 53 years, Dick and Anne raised seven children together and were blessed with fourteen grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Dick served honorably as a dentist in the United States Navy, achieving the rank of Commander. His distinguished military career included deployments around the world aboard the USS Lexington, USS Ajax, and USS Kitty Hawk, where he cared for countless sailors with professionalism and compassion.
A dedicated member of Santa Sophia Parish for over 45 years, Dick lived his faith through action. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1997, serving as Grand Knight from 2002 to 2004, and was actively involved with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, helping serve the needs of the local community.
A man of quiet strength, integrity, and devotion to his family and faith, Dick will be remembered for his warm heart, his steady presence, and the care and kindness he shared with all who knew him.
