Robert, or Bob, as his loved ones call him, accomplished a great deal in his lifetime. Not only did he retire from the United States Navy but he earned a degree from Purdue University and a PhD from USC. Robert moved to San Diego in the 1960's and met his beloved wife, Chloe, late in the same decade. He worked as a chemical engineer for General Dynamics for many years.
He was a soft-spoken and kind man who spent his free time gardening and traveling the country in his R.V. For 25 years he held the title of President of La Mesa Beautiful.
Robert leaves behind his beloved wife, family, and kitten. He was preceded in death by brother Howard.
The graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Park, 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert's memory may be made to San Diego Zoological Society.
